Day 141: The Holy Bible And Hydrology – Psalms To Amos.

Water is life’s matter and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water. (Albert Szent-Gyorgyi)

Thinking about the musings from Day 140: Rest…Relax…Reflect.

I would submit to you that once you understand what the definition of hydrology is, it is easy to spot references to this scientific field in the Holy Bible. I would further submit to you that once you recognize what to look for, these references are bountiful indeed.

In Day 139: The Holy Bible And Hydrology – Genesis To Job., 20 bible verses were covered that are contained in the books Genesis to Job.

So now, let us conclude with 13 more bible verses that contain the following concept relating to the scientific study of hydrology, that can be found in the books of Psalms to Amos:

1. Psalm 8:8 KJV:

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

2. Psalm 33:7 KJV:

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

3. Psalm 104:10 KJV:

10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

4. Psalm 104:13 KJV:

13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

5. Psalm 135:7 KJV:

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

6. Psalm 147:16 KJV:

16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

7. Proverbs 8:26 KJV:

26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

8. Ecclesiastes 1:6-7 KJV:

The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

9. Ecclesiastes 11:3 KJV:

If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

10. Isaiah 55:10 KJV:

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11. Jeremiah 10:13:

13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

12. Amos 9:6 KJV:

It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.

And there you have it.

13 sets of bible verses found in Psalms To Amos, whose focus can be considered under the scientific branch of hydrology.

So, at final count, there are 33 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of hydrology.

Are there a couple of verses that I may have missed?

Possibly.

However, whether I found them all or maybe missed a couple, what is clear is that you cannot deny the fact that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of hydrology.

So the question has to be, after covering the scientific branches of: astronomy, biology, anthropology, geology, and now hydrology, are there any other branches of science that can be found in the Holy Bible?

That question will be answered next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 13 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of hydrology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in these bible verses contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read this these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of hydrology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name. (Amos 9:6 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 141: The Holy Bible And Hydrology – Psalms To Amos.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

Please feel free to go back to where all of this began:
