Day 139: The Holy Bible And Hydrology – Genesis To Job.

The sea has neither meaning nor pity. (Anton Chekhov)

Thinking about the musings from Day 138: The Holy Bible And Geology – Just The Rocks – Ecclesiastes To Revelation.

I would submit to you that now that we have completed reviewing 72 bible verses that relate to the scientific field of geology, the scientific journey still continues. I would further submit to you that as we now complete our 4th branch of science, (astronomy, biology, anthropology, and now geology), we now need to turn our attention to the next scientific field, this one with over 30 references that can be found in the Holy Bible:

Hydrology.

Of course, before jumping into this next scientific field, we must establish a baseline as to what qualifies as hydrology. And for that, we need a standard definition:

The properties, distribution, and circulation of water on and below the earth’s surface and in the atmosphere.

Now that we have an understanding as to what the scientific study of hydrology is, it is now time to begin locating the bible verses that relate to hydrology.

So now, let us begin with 20 bible verses that contain the following concept relating to the scientific study of hydrology:

1. Genesis 2:6 KJV:

6. Nehemiah 9:15 KJV:

15. Job 38:37 KJV:

37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

And there you have it.

20 bible verses found in Genesis To Job, whose focus can be considered under the scientific branch of hydrology.

While I would submit to you that these 20 bible verses help one to understand that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of geology, it is possible that you may not be convinced of any connection….

Yet.

So, what are the next set of bible verses relating to the scientific field of hydrology?

That question will be answered after some rest.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 20 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of hydrology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in these bible verses contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of hydrology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, (Job 38:37 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 139: The Holy Bible And Hydrology – Genesis To Job.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

Please feel free to go back to where all of this began:
