Day 134: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – Labor By The Sweat Of Their Brow And Sinner By Choice.

No matter how much falls on us, we keep plowing ahead. That’s the only way to keep the roads clear. (Greg Kincaid)

Thinking about the musings from Day 133: Rest…Relax…Reflect.

I would submit to you that once you understand what the definition of anthropology is, it is easy to spot references to this scientific field in the Holy Bible. I would further submit to you that once you recognize what to look for, these references are bountiful indeed.

In Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman., 16 bible verses were covered.

In Day 132: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man., 26 bible verses were covered.

So now, let us conclude with 15 more bible verses that contain the following concept relating to the scientific study of anthropology:

Labor By The Sweat Of Their Brow And Sinner By Choice.

1. Genesis 3:19 KJV:

2. Genesis 3:17-18 KJV:

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

3. Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV:

6. 1 John 1:8-10 KJV:

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

7. Psalm 51:5 KJV:

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

8. James 1:13-16 KJV:

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

9. Isaiah 53:6 KJV:

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

And there you have it.

So, at final count, there are 57 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of anthropology.

Are there a couple of verses that I may have missed?

Possibly.

However, whether I found them all or maybe missed a couple, what is clear is that you cannot deny the fact that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of anthropology.

So the question has to be, after covering the scientific branches of: astronomy, biology and now anthropology, are there any other branches of science that can be found in the Holy Bible?

That question will be answered next time.

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 134: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – Labor By The Sweat Of Their Brow And Sinner By Choice.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.
