Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman.

History and man made each other. (Mokokoma Mokhonoana)

Thinking about the musings from Day 130: The Holy Bible And Science – What Is The Next Field?

I would submit to you that there is universal acceptance that the Holy Bible is known primarily as a book known for its religious texts, instructions, poetry, prophecies and stories. I would further submit to you that it is now time to move on to the third branch of science where dozens of verses can be seen:

Anthropology.

After establishing a reasonable working definition of the scientific field of anthropology:

The science of human beings and their ancestors through time and space.

We will begin the process of investigating over 60 bible verses that relate to the scientific field of anthropology.

This group of bible verses focus on a single topic:

The Creation of man and woman.

Consider the following 16 bible verses and how they help to explain how the Creation of man and woman became a reality….

1. Genesis 1:26-28 KJV:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

2. Genesis 1:31 KJV:

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

3. Genesis 2:7 KJV:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

4. Genesis 2:18 KJV:

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

5. Genesis 2:20 KJV:

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

6. Genesis 2:21-23 KJV:

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

7. Genesis 2:24-25 KJV:

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

8. 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 KJV:

For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

9. 1 Corinthians 11:11-12 KJV:

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

And there you have it.

To begin, there are 16 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of anthropology.

While I would submit to you that these 16 bible verses help one to understand that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of anthropology, it is possible that you may not be convinced of any connection….

Yet.

So, what are the next set of bible verses relating to the scientific field of anthropology?

That question will be answered next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 16 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of anthropology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in these bible verses contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of anthropology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. (1 Corinthians 11:11-12 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

Please feel free to go back to where all of this began:
