Day 133: Rest…Relax…Reflect.

You rest now. Rest for longer than you are used to resting. Make a stillness around you, a field of peace. Your best work, the best time of your life will grow out of this peace. (Peter Heller)

Thinking about the musings from Day 132: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man.….

I would submit to you that it is important to take some rest.

If we were going to continue with the school references, we actually finished the semester after 18 weeks, (on an accelerated block schedule of 90 minute classes). So, even though we can consider the ‘school year’ over, the concept of resting still remains nonetheless.  Instead of ending with the quote: “I will give you Sunday’s off, it’s a God thing.” We can make a minor adjustment going forward:

“Take Sunday’s off, it’s a God thing.”

The more I think about it, I don’t really know if it is really just a ‘God thing’. I mean, don’t animals, insects, birds, plants, the rest of Mother Nature and even Atheists, believe in the importance of rest? Whether they think it’s a ‘God thing’ or not, rest is necessary for all of us on this Earth, to restore, and to rejuvenate, our hearts, minds, bodies and souls. I think, most importantly, because Monday’s can be brutal, on a good Monday….

Bottom line no matter where you stand on the issue of God…get some rest.

Spend some time if you want to do some reviewing, reflecting, and/or meditating, on the week that has just ended. To be mindful perhaps of the from last week:

This day then concludes with 26 more verses that relate to the scientific field of anthropology concluding with the The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man.

Are you ready to get some rest?

Do not feel discouraged if you don’t know how to rest. Do not feel discouraged if you power down your mind and body that wishes to forge ahead, so many things to do, so little time. Instead, embrace the idea that rest is rejuvenating. Embrace the idea that rest restores and recharges.  10-15 minutes. Do nothing regarding the upcoming workweek…for 10-15 minutes.  Then, 7 days later, extent your rest time out 5 minutes.  Deep breathing exercises. Simple yoga poses. Watching cute little puppies on your social media feed. All unrelated to work and your job(s). Something, some things, to clear your mind.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. (Psalms 55:6 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 133: Rest…Relax…Reflect.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

Please feel free to go back to where all of this began:

Day 1: What Is A Mid-Life Crisis?

Day 132: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man.

Anthropology demands the open-mindedness with which one must look and listen, record in astonishment and wonder that which one would not have been able to guess. (Margaret Mead)

Thinking about the musings from Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman.

I would submit to you that once you understand what the definition of anthropology is, it is easy to spot references to this scientific field in the Holy Bible. I would further submit to you that once you recognize what to look for, these references are bountiful indeed.

In Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman., 16 bible verses were covered.

So now, let us continue on with 26 more bible verses that contain the following concept relating to the scientific study of anthropology:

The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man.

1. Revelation 4:11 KJV:

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

2. Isaiah 43:7 KJV:

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

3. Genesis 3:1-7 KJV:

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

4. 1 Timothy 2:14 KJV:

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

5. Genesis 3:8-19 KJV:

8And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. 14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

6. Romans 8:22 KJV:

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

7. Romans 5:12 KJV:

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

8. Leviticus 4:2 KJV:

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

9. Genesis 3:16 KJV:

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

And there you have it.

So, right now to date, there are 42 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of biology.

What are the next set of bible verses relating to the scientific field of anthropology?

They will be covered after some rest.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 26 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of anthropology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses relating to, The Purpose, Fall, And Curse Of Man, contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of anthropology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16 KJV)

Day 1: What Is A Mid-Life Crisis?

Day 131: The Holy Bible And Anthropology – The Creation Of Man And Woman.

History and man made each other. (Mokokoma Mokhonoana)

Thinking about the musings from Day 130: The Holy Bible And Science – What Is The Next Field?

I would submit to you that there is universal acceptance that the Holy Bible is known primarily as a book known for its religious texts, instructions, poetry, prophecies and stories. I would further submit to you that it is now time to move on to the third branch of science where dozens of verses can be seen:

Anthropology.

After establishing a reasonable working definition of the scientific field of anthropology:

The science of human beings and their ancestors through time and space.

We will begin the process of investigating over 60 bible verses that relate to the scientific field of anthropology.

This group of bible verses focus on a single topic:

The Creation of man and woman.

Consider the following 16 bible verses and how they help to explain how the Creation of man and woman became a reality….

1. Genesis 1:26-28 KJV:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

2. Genesis 1:31 KJV:

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

3. Genesis 2:7 KJV:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

4. Genesis 2:18 KJV:

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

5. Genesis 2:20 KJV:

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

6. Genesis 2:21-23 KJV:

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

7. Genesis 2:24-25 KJV:

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

8. 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 KJV:

For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

9. 1 Corinthians 11:11-12 KJV:

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

And there you have it.

To begin, there are 16 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of anthropology.

While I would submit to you that these 16 bible verses help one to understand that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of anthropology, it is possible that you may not be convinced of any connection….

Yet.

So, what are the next set of bible verses relating to the scientific field of anthropology?

That question will be answered next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 16 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of anthropology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in these bible verses contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of anthropology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. (1 Corinthians 11:11-12 KJV)

Always remember that you are absolutely UNIQUE. Just like everyone else. (Margaret Mead)

Thinking about the musings from Day 129: The Holy Bible And Biology – What Did We Miss? – Conclusion

I would submit to you that there is universal acceptance that the Holy Bible is known primarily as a book known for its religious texts, instructions, poetry, prophecies and stories. I would further submit to you that in addition to all of that, the Holy Bible has quite a bit to say about eight branches of science.

In Day 102: At Least 100 More…Revelation., is posed a simple question:

Are there any other fields of science that are referenced over 100 times in the Holy Bible?

I would submit to you that there 3 ways to answer that question:

1) The short answer is…yes.

2) The medium answer is…regarding the scientific field of astronomy, look here:

In Day 92: How Sharp Was…And Is…Ockham’s Razor?, 1 bible verse was covered.

3) For the long answer…click on the appropriate links relating to both the scientific fields of astronomy and biology and come to your own conclusion.

For those that are ready to move on…

Let’s move on!

Before we conclude for today, I would like to at least bring up a third branch of science, and its agreed upon definition.

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, the definition of anthropology is as follows:

The science of human beings especially the study of human beings and their ancestors through time and space and in relation to physical character, environmental and social relations, and culture.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anthropology

Whew! That is a lot for a definition.

I think that in order to keep it simple for us going forward, we should consider the following for our definition of biology:

The science of human beings and their ancestors through time and space.

Now that we have a reasonable working definition of the scientific field of anthropology, we will begin the process of investigating almost 60 bible verses that relate to the scientific field of anthropology.

So what are these verses?

We will cover the first group next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the Holy Bible and how it relates to the scientific field of anthropology. Do not feel discouraged if you are sure about the definition, you cannot see farther than that. Instead, understand that after you begin to investigate these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of anthropology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6 KJV)

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Luke 1:43-44 KJV)

13. 1 Corinthians 15:8:

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

And there you have it.

So, at final count, there are 494 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of biology.

Are there a couple of verses that I may have missed?

Possibly.

However, whether I found them all or maybe missed a couple, what is clear is that you cannot deny the fact that there is a strong connection between the Holy Bible and the scientific branch of biology.

So the question has to be, are there any other branches of science that can be found in the Holy Bible?

That question will be answered next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 19 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of biology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in the letters A through W, along with verses relating to babies, contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of biology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. (1 Corinthians 15:8 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 129: The Holy Bible And Biology – What Did We Miss? – Conclusion.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

W, and more specifically, the worm.

Bible verses relating to the Worm:

Day 1: What Is A Mid-Life Crisis?

Day 126: Rest…Relax…Reflect.

There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither. (Alan Cohen)

Thinking about the musings from Day 125: The Holy Bible And Biology – V – Z…(Actually V – W)….

I would submit to you that it is important to take some rest.

Just like the 18th week, (and final week of the semester), is winding down at school, week 18 is winding down here.  I end with the quote: “I will give you Sunday’s off, it’s a God thing….”

This day then concludes with 13 more verses that relate to the scientific field of biology beginning with the letters T through V;

Day 125: The Holy Bible And Biology – V – Z…(Actually V – W). – This day begins with a brief review of prior bible verses relating to the scientific field of biology covered in days: 103, 104, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 120, 121, 122, 123 and 124. This day then concludes with 16 more verses that relate to the scientific field of biology concluding with the letters V and W.

But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent. (1 Kings 5:4 KJV)

So, right now to date, there are 446 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of biology.

So, how many letters are left to cover?

That question will be answered after some rest.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 16 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of biology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in the letters A through W contain any scientific relevance at all. And there you have it.

So, right now to date, there are 430 bible verses, who by definition, qualify under the scientific branch of biology.

So, how many letters are left to cover?

That question will be answered next time.

Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 13 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to the scientific field of biology. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in the letters A through V contain any scientific relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you are continuing the process of learning about the relationship between the scientific field of biology and the Holy Bible…perhaps without even realizing it.

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. (Acts 28:3-4 KJV)

Was today’s blog a little confusing at times? Was the content perhaps a little overwhelming? Did you feel lost not understanding some or most of the subject matter?

Those feelings are totally understandable and it is ok to have one or more of those feelings. Remember that you are reading Day 124: The Holy Bible And Biology – T – V.

If you haven’t been in class since the first day of school…or when the project began…or when the contract was first signed, etc., these feelings make perfect and logistical sense.

Please feel free to go back to where all of this began:
