Thinking about the musings from Day 168: Rest…Relax…Reflect.…
I would submit to you that once you understand what the definition of physics is, it is easy to spot references to this scientific field in the Holy Bible. I would further submit to you that you also need to pay careful attention to the spelling of the word physics, as it looks very similar to another word:
Psychics.
As I was finishing up: Day 167: The Holy Bible And Physics – You Matter: Revelation To…Revelation., I realized that I needed to go back and do some editing at the end of the post.
Not thinking about the obvious fact that the Book of Revelation is the last book in the Holy Bible, I started getting this post going, with the assumption that I would just be continuing on with more verses that related to the scientific field of physics.
I was wrong.
The reason was simple…I wasn’t looking hard enough at these two words:
Physics and psychics.
Not only are physics and psychics not spelled the same…and not only do they have different definitions…the bible verses relating to psychics are definitely ones that need to be brought to our attention…and not because they have anything to do with any field of science.
As you read through these verses, maybe you will get a sense like I did that although psychics are mentioned quite a few times in many books throughout the Holy Bible….
Is that really a good thing?
Consider the first 16 verses that I found relating to psychics from the Books of Exodus to Isaiah:
1. Exodus 22:18 KJV:
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
2. Leviticus 19:31 KJV:
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
3. Leviticus 20:6 KJV:
6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
4. Leviticus 20:27 KJV:
27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
5. Deuteronomy 4:19 KJV:
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
6. Deuteronomy 18:10-11 KJV:
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
7. 1 Samuel 15:23 KJV:
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
8. 1 Samuel 28:3 KJV:
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
9. 1 Samuel 28:9 KJV:
3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
10. 2 Kings 21:6 KJV:
9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
11. 2 Kings 23:24 KJV:
6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
12. 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 KJV:
24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.
13. 2 Chronicles 33:6 KJV:
13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; 14 And enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
14. Isaiah 8:19 KJV:
6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
And there you have it.
16 bible verses found in books of Exodus to Isaiah, whose focus are not under the scientific branch of physics, but relate to a group throughout history known as psychics.
So, what are the next set of bible verses relating to these psychics?
That question will be answered next time.
Do not feel discouraged if you do not see a connection with the 16 sets of verses from today from the Holy Bible that relate to psychics, not physics. Do not feel discouraged if you are still unsure that the verses contained in these bible verses contain any relevance at all. Instead, understand that after you have read these verses, you may have come to an interesting conclusion…That psychics are an important group that can be found in the Holy Bible.
